These are individualised, custom made sessions guided by what Educators, Psychologists, Speech Therapists and Parents want Beverley to focus on.-eg using Music to help to bring numeracy and language “to life” . Social awareness, resilience, team work and individuality is also emphasised.
These sessions are based on the EYLD framework, Carl Orff philosophy, play based learning model and child initiated learning. Props, storyboards, musical activities, fun-filled musical relaxation and active segments are integrated. Beat, rhythm, tempo(slow and fast), timbre, singing, movement, dancing, playing of tuned and untuned percussion instruments are included. Guided listening is focused upon during the musical storytime segment while this entertaining, fun filled session is enjoyed by the children.
This highly interactive musical experience is for kindergarten and young children within and outside of the Early Learning Centre and Community playgroups.
The philosophy that underpins Beverley’s workshops is based on the EYLD, Carl Orff, Play Based Learning Principles and elements of Musical Play Therapy, Guided Imagery in music and Guided Listening techniques.
